The Folding Gooseneck Low Loader is positioned with the parking brakes applied. The trucks winch cable is then connected to the front of the trailer. The truck is disconnected from the trailer, by gently lowering down the ramp to the ground by the winch cable. The winch cable is disconnected from the trailer and the truck moves away to make way for the load to travel up onto the trailer. The front gooseneck of the trailer becomes a full width low angle, loading ramp, to enable loads that haven't sufficient traction or ground clearance, to drive up onto the deck of the trailer. The truck gently winches the trailer up on to the ramp to the turntable, where it is locked and secured, and the load is secured to the low loader, for safe travel.
